E-Series gliding doors provide everything you could want in a patio door system. Lots of glass for natural light, easy outdoor access, a wood frame for warmth and beauty that’s covered with an aluminum exterior to resist water and seal out elements.
Gliding doors work perfectly in tight spaces and because they operate on a horizontal track, they won’t interfere with your interior or exterior space. E-Series gliding doors have a thin profile for a contemporary look but customization options are endless.

Colors
Panel Features
Select wood components are kiln dried and treated with water/insect repellent and preservative. Wood components are fitted with aluminum extrusions on the exterior.
A durable fiberglass sill is an excellent thermal barrier. Available in beige or brown.
Operating panel consists of two tandem ball bearing steel roller assemblies. Stainless steel roller assemblies are available as an option.
The multi-point locking system features a unique reachout design that pulls the door panel tightly closed for a weathertight seal and enhanced security.

Security Footbolts
An enhanced footbolt is discreetly positioned on the side of the panel. Footbolt provides an extra measure of security when door is in locked position. Available in finish options to complement handle sets.
Glass
Most people can enjoy optimal energy performance and comfort with Low-E / Low-E4® glass. Low-E glass reflects heat in the summer and helps keep heat inside in the winter, making this a good choice in climates where both heating and cooling costs are a concern.
If you live in a cold climate, PassiveSun® glass allows the sun to heat your home.

HeatLock® coating reflects heat that likes to escape your home through window glass. It can be added to most of Andersen’s glass options.
SmartSun™ glass gives you the benefits of Low-E glass, plus it helps shield your home from the sun’s heat by filtering out harmful UV rays.
Ideal for: All Climates
SmartSun™ with HeatLock Coating is available on E-Series windows. This prevents more heat from escaping your home but slightly reduces the visible light transmitted through the glass.
SmartSun™ glass gives you the benefits of Low-E glass, plus it helps shield your home from the sun’s heat and filters out 95% of harmful UV rays. HeatLock® coating added to most of our glass options and reflects heat that escapes your home.
Decorative and Specialty Glass
Safety Glass Tempered safety glass is available on all products, and comes standard on all patio doors.
Laminated Glass Laminated glass is also available, for added strength, enhanced security and sound control.
Sound-Reducing Glass This glass helps reduce the volume of outside noise. Available with Low-E, SmartSun and HeatLock coatings.
Patterned Glass Let in light while obscuring vision and adding a unique decorative touch to your home.
Grill Types
Grilles applied to the interior and exterior of the window with aluminum spacers between the glass create an authentic look.
An economical solution with traditional beauty, Andersen’s Simulated Divided Light features fixed exterior and interior grilles without an internal spacer.
Andersen’s removable wood grilles are installed on the interior surface. They are available with an optional surround and an optional permanently applied exterior grille.
Aluminum grilles sit between two panes of glass for easy cleaning.

What could be more convenient than blinds or shades between the panes of glass? Minimal cleaning and no worry about damage. It’s simply a fitting way to put privacy at your fingertips.
- 5/8″ aluminum slat blinds are located between the panes of insulated glass, protected from dust & damage
- Glass is easy to clean without the need to move the blinds
- Blinds are magnetically controlled and can be tilted or raised and lowered with one cord
Blind Colors
Charcoal fiberglass screen mesh fits into an aluminum frame in 50 exterior colors. Aluminum screen mesh is also available.
The concealed insect screen has charcoal fiberglass panels. Insect screen retracts when not needed, providing an unobstructed view through the glass. Available in 50 exterior colors.
