A Window Opening Control Device Kit is available, which limits sash travel to less than 4″ when the window is first opened. Available in Stone or White.
Glass
SmartSun™ glass gives you the benefits of Low-E glass, plus it helps shield your home from the sun’s heat by filtering out harmful UV rays.
Ideal for: All Climates
SmartSun™ with HeatLock Coating is also available on 100 Series windows. This prevents more heat from escaping your home but slightly reduces the visible light transmitted through the glass.
Low-E Glass reflects heat in the summer and helps to retain interior heat in the winter.
Ideal for: All Climates
Low-E4® with HeatLock Coatingis available on A-Series windows. This improves the U-Factor performance of the window but slightly reduces how much light comes through the glass.
Sun glass has excellent thermal performance. This glass has a subtle tint that blocks out more heat from the sun.

If you live in a cold climate, PassiveSun® glass allows the sun to heat your home.

HeatLock® coating reflects heat that likes to escape your home through window glass. It can be added to most of Andersen’s glass options.
Decorative and Specialty Glass
Safety Glass Tempered safety glass is available on all products, and comes standard on all patio doors.
Laminated Glass Laminated glass is also available, for added strength, enhanced security and sound control.
Sound-Reducing Glass This glass helps reduce the volume of outside noise. Available with Low-E, SmartSun and HeatLock coatings.
Patterned Glass Let in light while obscuring vision and adding a unique decorative touch to your home.
Art Glass
The four styles included in our Classic Series panels represent major architectural design themes from the late 1800’s through the 1930’s. Their symmetric patterns are available in distinctive color schemes as well as colorless glass, and their caming may be finished with a gold tone, silver tone or antique patina.
Two designs influenced by 20th century American and European architectural schools feature striking visual patterns that evoke an extraordinary blend of art and nature.
Grill Types
Grilles applied to the interior and exterior of the window with aluminum spacers between the glass create an authentic look.
Spacer Option for Greater Energy Efficiency
The Energy Spacer option is available to help A-Series products with full divided lights and SmartSun™ glass be ENERGY STAR® certified in the Northern climate zone. Its narrow design creates a 3mm gap around the spacer, helping to lower U-Factor values.
Style your window with permanent exterior grilles and choose between permanent or removable interior grilles.
For easy cleaning choose removable interior grilles. Secured via a fastener or grille clip, these can be removed easily.
Grilles sit between the panes of glass for easy cleaning.

Screens
Insect Screens
Choose full insect screen or half insect screen. Half insect screen (shown above) allows ventilation without affecting the view through the upper sash. Frames are available in colors to match product exteriors.
Conventional insect screens have charcoal powder-coated aluminum screen mesh.
TruScene® Insect Screen
Exclusive Andersen TruScene® insect screens provide over 50% more clarity than conventional insect screens for a beautiful unobstructed view. They allow more fresh air and sunlight in, while doing a better job of keeping out small insects. Insect screens for double-hung windows are installed on the exterior of the window and frames match product exterior.
